Share What You Love, A Bowspring Yoga Event: with Emily Karl
Share What You Love, A Bowspring Yoga Event:Come and share your personal passions in community while learning about the Bow at Yogaia!
Instructor Emily Karl was an early adopter of the Bowspring methodology, and it is her personal passion. The practice has had such a significant and positive impact on all aspects of her life, that she is eager to share it with as many people as possible!
This “workshop” will be more like gathering where we will spend most of our time in discussion and demonstration. Those who are curious about the Bowspring practice will have a chance to ask questions and experience the alignment in a casual setting.
If you are interested in adding some dimension to your yoga practice or simply exploring something new, then this event is for you! All levels are welcome and encouraged to come!!
Rather than set a dollar amount for this workshop, Emily ask that you share YOUR passion! She is simply asking for an energetic exchange for her time; so that if you bake, paint, write, etc., bring a sample of what you love as a trade. You will have an opportunity to share with the group if you are drawn to do so. Please keep in mind the instructor is allergic to gluten and dairy if you bring food :)
If you have questions don't hesitate to call us at 502-608-7735

Kundalini Yoga for Honoring Grief with Sammy-Jo Hand
Grief. It hurts. And it can really suck. Big time. But believe me when I say, it’s fundamental to our growth in this lifetime. I know it doesn’t always feel that way, but we will most definitely grow if only we let ourselves really feeeeeel it.Sometimes when we are going through it, we can feel alone and like no one understands, we can feel as though we are taking too long to “get over it”, or that what we are grieving over is not valid or worthy of what we’re feeling and expressing. But it’s all valid, we are not alone and we will take all the time we need to move through what we need to feel.
We might be experiencing grief due to the loss of a loved one: through death, divorce or disagreement. The loss of an animal- our pets are our family too and the pain is deep when we have to say goodbye. The loss of a job may not seem like a big deal comparatively but it can grapple with our identity and shatter the ego. It could be the loss of a part of our physical body: breasts, womb, hair because of chemo, a limb through accident etc. Or the process of change within the physical body: menopause, aging, gender transitioning. Maybe it’s the loss of who we once thought we were.
None of our reasons for grief are worthy of shame. We’re feeling what we’re feeling and that’s ok because feeling is a beautiful human thing- even if it hurts like hell!
Our next kundalini experience will be a healing one for honoring grief and the process that we are going through. It will include gentle movement, meditations and mantra (chanting- which, of course is optional). This will be a beginner friendly experience for men, women and non-gender conforming.
So if you’re going through something or you know someone who is, please come and allow yourself the time to honor your experience and what it is that you have lost. Everything will be done gently and with a whole lot of love!! You will be safe and you will be loved. Come and heal with us!

Introduction to Tantra Yoga Flow is a workshop that cultivates up a sweet foundation to play, to feel good inside yourself, and to tap into the power of pure potentiality. Join Heidi Bartholomew for 2 hours of fun, blissful expansion of consciousness and the awakening Shakti, primal energy.
Tantra is a practice of expansion into self, a merging of the polarities, an opening into radiant heart to move from love in all that we do. Tantra Yoga Flow is a practice of uniting the Sacred Feminine and the Sacred Masculine Energies within each of us by integrating breath, movement, sound, playfulness, mudras and mantras. Tantra Yoga opens us into a place of willingness, of transformation into wholeness. This practice is the dance of Shakti and Shiva within, creative force energy and the light of consciousness, a balancing of the yin and yang. Tantra Yoga Flow has roots in Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Taoist Yoga, and Kundalini practices. Tantra Flow plays with opening the central channel (sushumna Nadi) in order to let the creative force within rise (Shakti) and the light of consciousness (Shiva) pour in.
An Introduction to Tantra establishes a playground to spring from, a remembering how to Feel good, a connecting to the energy you are made of and tapping into your infinite well of pure potentiality. Suitable for all levels, both novice and experienced yogi"s and yogini"s are welcome.

Winter Solstice Celebration with Heidi Bartholomew
Please join Heidi Bartholomew for a Winter Solstice Celebration.
Friday December 21, 2018 from 6:30-8:30 pm
Emmerson yourself in ritual on the longest night of the year. As the sun's light is at its shortest, we are invited to ignite our inner light. This is a night to move intentionally into stillness, into ourselves, to be rebirth into the infinite light.
This celebration wil begin with a mediation in darkness and a welcoming of the light. We will gather together to create sacred space and connect to Mother Earth. There will be movement and flow that will take you into a stillness, a softening, a reflecting of who you truly are followed by an awakening into your true light. This celebration is to honor the darkness that births the light, to find sanctity within yourself, and honor the season of winter.
This celebration is for everyone. There is no experience required.

APRIL 2019 — OCTOBER 2019

Do you want to take your teaching your practice and your life to the next level?
To go deeper? To broaden your range?
To learn among a safe, warm, and supportive community who only wants you to see and know how
powerful you are?
Then, dear yogis, you will love this...
We believe it all begins with a welcome, open embrace to all the possibilities. We believe yoga as a practice, and teach- ing, is full of options with as many preferences as there are practitioners. In this non-dogmatic training we revere and wel- come all systems, lineages, perspectives and opinions on yoga, so that we can “co-learn” together in a safe, supportive environ- ment that develops the person and the teacher.
This training asks you to understand yoga from the physical asana of biomechanics, biophysics, and biochem- ical ways that affect movement and how you feel, to the ideas, philosophies, and stories that weave a “yogic” world of perception. We will study and broaden your understand- ing and practices of meditation, breathing, the body, chant- ing, poetry, teaching, and much much more. This training is designed for anyone with an endless curiosity for grow- ing their personal development and exploring new con- cepts, modalities, and resources to share as a teacher.
In the time we co-learn together:
• You will source more confidence in your consistency, fluency,
and your innate strengths as a teacher.
• You will feel more relaxed and trusting to share classes that
leave lasting impacts on your students — whatever style of
yoga you teach.
• You will gain spaciousness, and allow yourself the gift of
opening up the field of your awareness to include so many
• You will learn so much about your own personal and relation-
al health habits that will nourish you for a lifetime.
• You will feel refueled, energized, and above all supported to
be exactly who you are.
